Mater Little Miracles

Whilst we all expect to welcome healthy bubs into the world, unfortunately for some, their world is turned upside down by the birth of a still-born or dangerously premature baby. My mum suffered this fate on more than one occasion. Sadly, I have witnessed first-hand the wonderful care that my niece and her husband received from the Mater when their world was torn apart when their first child, Georgia, was still-born at full-term.

Amazingly, more than 2000 babies each year will spend time in the Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit where specialist staff care for up to 79 seriously ill and premature babies every night.

Our donation provides some of the funding of life-saving research, care, and equipment this is required by the foundation to help families in need of their support.
