Youngcare is committed to helping young people, with high care needs, live life with choice, independence, and dignity. They are determined to keep these young individuals from being placed in aged care facilities.
In our family, we have Belinda. Due to complications at birth, Belinda is a quadriplegic and has the mental capacity of a child. Whilst I cannot begin to imagine the day-to-day struggles that my cousin’s family have endured over the past 30+ years, I know they did everything in their power to keep Belinda at home until it became physically impossible to do so. Care options at that time were extremely limited.
I’m quietly hopeful that our little bit can go a long way in helping this fabulous organisation raise the funds they need to plan and construct much-needed new facilities for young people in need.
